TEC has been selected by the City of Portsmouth to manage a NHDOT-funded Local Public Agency (LPA) project for the Woodbury Avenue corridor. TEC will develop geometric and traffic signal infrastructure improvements and detailed coordinated timing plans for seven intersections along this commercial roadway corridor. This project also includes pedestrian crossing and accessibility enhancements to obtain compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Association (ADA) Accessibility Guidelines. The corridor serves a wide mix of retail and commercial uses, which results in constantly changing traffic patterns along the corridor. TEC will explore options for implementing adaptive signal control along this corridor to allow the system to adjust to daily changes in traffic patterns, as well as future development in the area.
