Design Engineer
1. When did you decide you wanted to be an engineer?
I decided I wanted to be an engineer after my first year of college, I was undecided and went to see an advisor. After talking with him about how math and science have always been my favorite subjects in school, and I like to challenge myself academically he suggested engineering. After taking a few classes and doing my own research I realized civil engineering was the career path I wanted to pursue.
2. Which part of your job do you enjoy the most?
The part of my job that I enjoy the most is being able to see a project from design all the way through to construction. To be able to have a hand in the design, and then be able to go onsite and see the design being constructed, it’s an amazing feeling to see a finished project and think “I helped design that.”
3. What is on your bucket list?
Something that is on my bucket list is to travel the world. I want to visit at least one country on every continent, to be able to see all the different nature, architecture, and culture from around the world. Every new place visited gives a new perspective.
