Bridge Team Leader

Stormwater Technical Manager
Worcester, MA; Lawrence, MA; or Portland, ME

TEC is seeking a Stormwater Technical Manager to join our team! In this role, you will lead and perform engineering services on a variety of stormwater planning, design, and construction projects. You will be instrumental in developing/maintaining stormwater engineering standards and advancing TEC’s stormwater capabilities. This position offers the opportunity to guide a team of junior staff while also working closely with mid and senior level technical staff and leadership across the organization. The ideal candidate is a technically focused individual with strong experience in evaluating, planning, designing, and constructing stormwater solutions, including flood risk mitigation, stormwater conveyance, and stormwater planning, among other areas. This person will have the opportunity to expand our stormwater capabilities to existing clients, develop new clients, and explore market opportunities for practice growth.  

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain technical approach to stormwater projects including stormwater master planning, H&H analysis, multi-benefit projects, and drainage systems, among others.
  • Lead technical engineering for stormwater planning, design, and construction projects while partnering with project teams to deliver high quality work.
  • Grow TEC staff capabilities by mentoring staff, identifying technical delivery needs, and attracting top talent to join our team.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance our market position as a leading provider in stormwater engineering services by cultivating relationships with clients and industry professionals. 
  • Support business development efforts to provide technical support and guidance to a range of clients and market opportunities.

Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to understand project and team roles, scheduling, budgeting, and efficient resource utilization. 
  • Strong knowledge in stormwater engineering systems, means, methods, materials, and industry standards, including proficiency in H&H modeling software and related systems such as StreamStats, HEC-RAS 1D & 2D, no-rise analysis, and scour calculations.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking to develop options and recommendations to solve technical challenges.

Transportation Project Manager
Worcester, MA or Lawrence, MA

TEC is seeking a Transportation Project Manager in either our Worcester and/or Lawrence offices! We are looking for the right individual who can effectively lead all technical assignments and support TEC’s growth. The ideal candidate is looking to expand their project management wheelhouse, or gain exposure with management responsibilities and take the next step forward in their career. This person would have the chance to take ownership of a project from start to finish, mentor more junior engineers, have exposure to client interactions/meetings and the ability to be developed professionally by more senior staff.  

Responsibilities

  • Manage/support a variety of transportation projects – from project conception through completion 
  • Aid in technical work for surrounding offices and work across Massachusetts 
  • Mentor engineering staff in all phases of transportation infrastructure design  
  • Supporting role in client meetings and public presentations

Skills

Transportation Designer
Lawrence, MA; Worcester, MA; or Portland, ME

TEC is seeking transportation/civil engineers at all levels to join our growing team! This candidate will have exposure to projects within all transportation/civil (highway, roadway, bridge and/or land development) related specialties and work on projects with municipal and state agency clients. This person would have the chance to grow both technically and professionally, with exposure to QA/QC tasks, management of projects, and support on meetings and public presentations. Because of the size of our firm, this candidate won’t be pigeon-holed in to one specific duty/project- but instead have the chance to experience projects of all kinds from planning to construction. 

Responsibilities

  • Effectively interact with staff, clients and other stakeholders to deliver project solutions 
  • Conceptual and final design of municipal and state agency projects  
  • Preparation of construction plans, specifications, and estimates for contractor bidding 
  • Preparation of environmental, local, and state permitting documents

Skills

  • Verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

TEC is seeking a Senior Transportation Designer to join our growing transportation team! This person can work out of either our Lawrence, MA or Worcester, MA office. This candidate should come in with a strong understanding of roadway/highway design with the desire to grow in their technical abilities. This person would have the chance to grow both technically and professionally, with exposure to QA/QC tasks, management of projects, mentorship of more junior staff, and support on meetings and public presentations.

Landscape Architect
Worcester, MA

TEC is seeking an entry level Landscape Architect to support our growing Landscape Architecture practice. The appropriate candidate will assist with all steps in the design process, from initial concept sketches and renderings through final design construction documents. Typical projects will include landscape and site designs, streetscape improvements, and other civil engineering projects across TEC’s other practice areas. This person will have an opportunity to play a critical role in project delivery for our clients, be a part of the growth of TEC’s Landscape Architecture practice, and support corporate initiatives with the delivery of high quality and meaningful projects.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively interact with staff, clients, and other stakeholders to deliver project visualizations
  • Support implementation of visualization systems/software
  • Produce 2D perspective photo-simulations, 3D renderings, models, and animations for presentations both in print and digital formats
  • Lead research, evaluation, and implementation efforts for graphic design best practices and software to continuously develop and enhance TEC’s internal graphic design capabilities  

Skills
