MassDOT Municipal Small Bridge Program

The $50 million MassDOT Municipal Small Bridge Program provides financial support to cities and towns for small bridge replacement, preservation, and rehabilitation projects.  This 5-year program, ending in 2021, helps cities and towns replace or preserve bridges with spans between 10 and 20 feet.  A municipality may qualify for up to $500,000 per year.  These small bridges are not eligible for federal aid under existing programs.

How we can help

TEC offers deep experience in guiding municipalities through the application process as well as the technical expertise to survey, design, permit, and monitor the construction of your bridge.  This program provides for state reimbursement to municipalities of up to 100% of the total design and construction cost of eligible projects.
