After 24 years of dedicated service, Mitch Keamy, PE will step down from his role as TEC’s President in January 2025. Mitch was a founding member in establishing the company in 2001. Since then, he has been a cornerstone of TEC – leading with integrity, innovation, and commitment. He served TEC as President for 12 years, and in that time has fostered a culture of excellence and been an important part of TEC’s growth and success.
Mitch announced this news at our recent corporate holiday celebration. “This holiday gathering is not just about enjoying each other’s company and sharing a few laughs,” he stated. “It’s about celebrating our collective success, acknowledging the milestones we’ve achieved, and looking forward to the amazing future that we’re building together… And that next chapter will be defined by the leadership of our new President.”
While Mitch is scaling back, he will remain Chairman of TEC’s Board of Directors, will serve as Treasurer of the firm, and will remain a trusted advisor for the firm. We extend our heartfelt gratitude for his many years of unwavering dedication and exemplary leadership and look forward to building upon his success.
Looking ahead, we are excited to announce that Rick Friberg, PE, will step into the role of President. Rick joined TEC in 2004 and has most recently held the role of Chief Strategy Officer where he was responsible for cultivating the corporate strategy, continuously evolving our framework to guide us toward delivering our mission, vision, and goals.
During his remarks, Mitch praised Rick for his “vision, dedication, emotional intelligence and stability, and an unparalleled work ethic.”
Rick’s strategic vision has helped the company grow to over 85 employees in three offices, establishing TEC as a leader in providing engineering consulting services throughout New England. He credits the TEC team’s ability to embrace emerging technologies, identify opportunities, and collaborate both internally and with our clients as keys to the firm’s achievements and growth.
“We are so fortunate to have each other,” he said. “Because we do, our future has never been brighter. There isn’t a problem that we can’t solve together.”
In addition to the transition of TEC’s Presidency, we are pleased to announce that Mike Myers, PE, who previously held the position of Chief Growth Officer, has been promoted to Vice President. Mike joined TEC in 2008 as a Transportation Project Manager, supporting municipal and state agency clients. He has provided valuable strategies to TEC, providing critical support with business development, recruitment, service delivery, and operational initiatives.
“I am honored to step into this role and continue building on the strong foundation established by Mitch,” said Rick. “Together with Mike and the TEC team, we will work towards a future of continued growth, serving as a valued resource for our clients through our commitment to excellence, communication, and collaboration.”
We express our gratitude to Mitch, while celebrating and congratulating Rick and Mike on their well-deserved promotions to President and Vice President!
